         Purpose

         The elected City Treasurer is responsible for auditing and examining all investments                 made by the City of Pittsburg authorized personnel. Such audit may be performed as               deemed necessary by the City Treasurer and subsequently reported to the City Council             at the discretion of the City Treasurer.

         Current Service Levels

• Review and approve all investment transactions (cash reserves and bond proceeds) related to the City, Redevelopment Agency, Pittsburg Power Authority and the Housing Authority to ensure compliance with state law and the City of Pittsburg Investment Policy

• Review and approve the quarterly comprehensive investment report prepared by staff for submittal to the City Council at a regular scheduled meeting

• Review and approve the Investment Policy update that is prepared by staff for submittal to the City Council on an annual basis
