Did you know, Pittsburg homeowners can lower their electric bills using the sun!

GRID Alternatives is a nationwide nonprofit organization that brings the benefits of solar technology to families that need the financial savings most, while giving volunteers and job trainees hands-on solar installation experience.

Homeowners that meet certain criteria may qualify for state subsidized solar programs. Eligibility criteria include the following:
  • Homeowners must live & own a home in designated "DAC" zones, shown in the "red" on the eligible zone map. Find the Map here.
  • Monthly electric bills must exceed $30.
  • Total household income must not exceed maximum income limits shown below:
