By definition, a public record is any record retained by a government body as further defined by statute and open to inspection. To obtain a public record that the City has on file, you may complete our Public Record Request Form (records_request) and return it to the City Clerk's Office. Record requests can be faxed to (925) 252-4905 or emailed to the City Clerk at cityclerk@pittsburgca.gov.
Birth certificates, passports applications, marriage licenses, and death certificates are obtained from the Contra Costa County Clerk/Recorder's Office at www.ccclerkrec.us/connect/site/.
