NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Pittsburg will conduct a public hearing at the City Council Chamber at City Hall on October 25, 2022, at 7:00 PM concerning the following item(s): 

Pretty Confident Beauty Studios, AP-22-0096 (UP)

This is a Notice of Public Hearing for an application filed by LaTanya West, requesting approval of a Use Permit to establish a salon business within the existing building located at 501 Railroad Avenue, Pittsburg, CA. The proposed business will lease out the existing office spaces to fourteen (14) individual stylists and beauty professionals to provide clients with various services, including but not limited to: hair dye, haircut, manicure, pedicure, etc. The proposed business plans to allow the individual lessors operate as needed 7 days per week. The proposed use will utilize the parking lot in the rear of the structure and street parking in the vicinity. There are no exterior changes proposed. The project parcel is located in the CP (Pedestrian Commercial) District and has a General Plan designation of Downtown Commercial. Assessor’s Parcel No. 085-167-001.

Environmental Determination

The project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Class 1, “Existing Facilities,” of the CEQA Guidelines, section 15301.
