Allowances for Tenant-Paid Utilities

Eligible families will be provided the monthly allowance when utilities are payable directly by the family to the utility company. This allowance is deducted from the family’s Total Tenant Payment to determine the family’s rental amount. Utility reimbursements may be provided when the utility allowance and tenant rent are greater than the family’s Total Tenant Payment.
