The California State Controller’s Office recently conducted a review of eighteen redevelopment agencies. The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Pittsburg was one of the eighteen reviewed. The State Controller’s Office issued its final report on March 7, 2011. That report contains factual errors which could have been corrected by the State.

Pittsburg staff was provided limited time to review the draft report prior to the report’s final publication. We provided comments back to the State Controller’s Office, asking for corrections to their factual errors. A copy of the Redevelopment Agency's reply can be reviewed by clicking here. Of note, even though the Agency provided accurate, factual information, the State Controller’s Office declined to correct the report's factual errors.
