Help Shape Pittsburg's Downtown and Marina!

Notice of Community Meeting

 

Purpose: Discuss concepts and designs to enhance and connect Old Town Pittsburg with the Marina and adjoining neighborhoods

When: Saturday, March 16, 2024, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM 

Where: Marina Community Center, 340 Marina Blvd, Pittsburg, CA 94565

Background: Staff has explored concepts and ideas aimed at enhancing the Pittsburg Marina by improving connections to Old Town Pittsburg and adjoining neighborhoods.

 

The public is invited to engage with the City at a Community Meeting to enhance Old Town Pittsburg, the Marina, and adjoining neighborhoods. At this meeting, City staff and design consultants will discuss different development concepts and alternatives with community members and solicit input and suggestions.

Some of the draft concepts to revitalize this area include leisure and entertainment activities, as well as tourist attractions, such as water sports, gifts shops, pop-up stands, parklettes, destination specialty gift shops, hospitality uses, boardwalk, waterfront dining, children’s playgrounds, scenic waterfront promenade, way-finding signs, etc. At the meeting, the community will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on what they envision for the Old Town, the Marina, and adjoining neighborhoods.

Provision of Comments: Members of the public, other interested agencies, and all other individuals are invited to participate! In the event that you are unable to attend this meeting, the preliminary concepts are available for public review at: https://www.pittsburgca.gov/services/community-development/planning/advanced-planning-special-projects. All are invited and encouraged to provide written feedback on the concepts beginning on March 11, 2024, through March 18, 2024.
