Contra Costa County Public Works to Perform Road Work Along North Bailey Road

October 18, 2023, Bay Point, CA - A Contra Costa County Public Works Department contractor will perform work along North Bailey Road, between State Route 4 and Willow Pass Road, starting on Thursday, October 19, 2023, through Friday, October 20, 2023, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, weather permitting. Traffic control, including lane and shoulder closures, will be used. Drivers should expect delays of up to five (5) minutes near the work area. 

The work will consist of drilling eight (8) Geotechnical borings within the roadway. The impacted lane and shoulder will be closed during construction activities. Results from the Geotechnical borings will be used to design a future road improvement project along North Bailey Road. Funding for this project is provided by the State’s Active Transportation Program, Bay Point Area of Benefit funds, and Gas Tax funds.
